Community Service Projects

At CaroJays, we believe it is important to portray a healthy attitude of service to our community, our state, and our country.  We have established these community service projects:

1. Local annual walk with the National MS Society each spring to help raise money for a cure.  We register our Team CaroJay in January and then go to work receiving donations for the MS Walk in May.  We have fortunately increased our funds each year for this very important medical research and the assistance for those diagnosed with MS.

2. Decorate bulletin boards with pictures & flyers to encourage pet adoptions from the Greenville Humane Society.  We visit the Animal Shelter from time to time to get pictures of CaroJays' Kids with the animals so we can decorate these bulletin boards.  It is exciting to visit the animals, but it also helps us to see the need for adoptions.

3. Help Kids Planet Keepers to tidy the park and playground in appreciation for such a wonderful facility in the Greer area for us to visit.  This park was built by volunteers so we like to volunteer to help keep it nice for everyone.  We have alot of fun and memories at Kids Planet - check out our pictures in our Scrapbook.

4. Helping Hearts - a network of helping senior citizens around our community with services such as raking leaves, nailing a porch board, and sweeping sidewalks and driveways.  Our official scripture verse and pledge is Galatians 6:9-10:  "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people..." (NIV)

5. Help clean our community with an Adopt-A-Highway street/road (in process).
