Since my early teen years, I have worked with children.  In Jr. High, I tutored Elementary students in reading.  In High School, I became a Jr. Counselor of clubs and camps.  As an adult, I volunteered as an Advisor to clubs, camps, and organizations (primarily 4-H, Youth Against Drugs, and TSA/Technology Student Association.  During these years, I achieved my teaching degree, received certification, and taught school in Spartanburg and Greenville Counties.

The planning for CaroJays began in 2000, and then it went into action – the After-School Program began August 2004 and the Summer Day Camp began June 2005.  My work with the children is fun, interesting, and exciting.  However, I realized how much more can be done for the families of the Upstate when our Scholarship Program was put into operation!
